CONWAY, SC (WMBF) - Teleflora flower delivery service is hosting Make Someone Smile® Week.
Teleflora is a floral company that offers hand-arranged and hand-delivered floral arrangements. The week of July 20 through July 26 marks their Make Someone Smile® Week; a benevolent program that arranges and delivers Be Happy® Bouquets to individuals in need of a smile. People who may be getting a floral surprise are hospital patients, senior citizens living in nursing homes, assisted living homes, and recipients of Meals-on-Wheels programs.
Forty Teleflora units will receive over 40,000 Be Happy® mugs that will be given to participating member florists. Wholesalers and growers will partner with the florists to provide flowers. "It's hard for me to fathom that we are coming up on 14 years of local Teleflora florists surprising residents in their communities with fresh floral arrangements in support of Make Someone Smile® Week. The amount of time given by our member florists who participate in the program always astounds me. Each year, I'm more and more delighted by the florists' commitment to helping make this program a success," said Rich Salvaggio, Vice President of Industry Relations and Floral Publications, Teleflora.
Nearly 100 arrangements were made on July 21-22 at Granny's Florists and were delivered to residents of Kingston Nursing Center at 1 p.m. on July 23.
Last year, Teleflora delivered more than 25,000 bouquets to those most in need of a smile.
