Longs man dies in motorcycle accident in North Myrtle Beach

NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – A Longs man riding a motorcycle died after an accident in North Myrtle Beach Friday night.

The crash happened at about 11:20 p.m. Friday at 46th Avenue South, near Alligator Adventure.

Michael Jackson, 34, was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at Grand Strand Medical Center with head trauma, confirmed Horry County Deputy Coroner Darris Fowler. Jackson was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.

Jackson was originally from New York, and had been living in Longs for less than a year, Fowler said.
