BURLINGTON, N.C. (AP) - A Burlington woman has been arrested and charged with killing her boyfriend.

The Times-News of Burlington reported (http://bit.ly/1kz41n3) that 41-year-old Dianna Haith is charged with second-degree murder in the death of 50-year-old Darrell Cash.

Police Lt. Brian Long said investigators determined the couple had a history of domestic violence. Police were called to the couple's home July 7 and Haith told officers that Cash had hit her. He was released later that day.

She called emergency officials July 9 and said Cash was unconscious. He was taken to Alamance Regional Medical Center where he died.

Investigators determined that Haith had hit Cash in the head a number of times on July 6.

She's being held in the Alamance County jail. It was not clear if she has an attorney.
