MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - State authorities have told a local plastic surgery office to stop all office based surgical procedures immediately, as part of a cease and desist order handed down by the SC Department of Labor Licensing and Regulation this week.
Sculpted Figures Plastic Surgery is accused of engaging in office based surgeries without the right accreditation or registration as required with the state's medical board.
The Sculpted Figures administrative manager told WMBF News the cease and desist order follows Dr. Darrell Graham's failure to get the correct privileges for accreditation with the state on time.
The manager said the business is 75 percent in line with state requirements and expects to be 100 percent accredited in a month.
However, for now LLR said the company cannot operate a facility engaged in office based surgical procedures in the state and will provide follow up care as needed for patients who had surgery prior to the order.
DHEC said an inspector with the Bureau of Drug Control did assist LLR with this cease and desist order. That was to remove controlled substance medications from Sculpted Figures Plastic Surgery until licensing issues with LLR are resolved.
