NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – Becky Billingsly is holding a book signing at The North Myrtle Beach Area Historical Museum.
The signing will take place on Thursday, July 24, from 5 to 7 p.m. The event will feature her new book entitled, Lost Myrtle Beach. The book highlights sites like the Ocean Forest Hotel, PirateLand Amusement Park, and Washington Park Race Track, which have disappeared from the Grand Strand."Lost Myrtle Beach combines historical perspectives with personal insights; a great combination which sparks lots of memories," said Museum director, Jenean Todd.
Billingsly also wrote A Culinary History of Myrtle Beach and the Grand Strand . She is a restaurant reporter for The Sun News and she is the founding editor and journalist for the Coastal Carolina Dining magazine and The Top 100 Grand Strand Restaurants. She keeps record of history in the area. She serves information for MyrtleBeachRestaurantNews.com and writes features for South Carolina Living magazine, Litchfield Style and The Charlotte Observer. "Becky's done the research. Now we can relax, read, and reminisce," Todd said.
At the signing, Billingsly's books will be available for purchase and personalization.
