Darlington Marathon scheduled to take attendees through five districts

DARLINGTON COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - The second annual Darlington Marathon is scheduled to start at the NASCAR-sanctioned race track on Saturday, September 27 at 7 a.m.

The course passes through all five of Darlington's historic districts: St. Johns, Cashua-Spring Streets, Darling Industrial, West Broad Street, and the Darlington Downtown Historic Districts.

Attendees have the option to choose from a marathon, marathon relay, or half marathon.

Relay teams can include up to four members with each member running 6.1, 13.2, or 19.3 miles for a total of 26.2 miles.

The race track is located at 1301 Harry Byrd Highway in Darlington.
