FLORENCE, SC (WMBF) - A spokesman for Ruiz Foods announced it is currently accepting job applications.
Plans were unveiled to expand the 215,000 square foot facility by an extra 30,000 square feet, which will serve as a frozen warehouse at the groundbreaking ceremony Tuesday.
This is the portion of the facility where the company is accepting applications.
Ruiz Foods is looking to fill plant managers, line worker and general labor positions.
The company hopes to have those positions filled and operational by this coming March.
Ruiz Foods is expected to make a $55 million investment in to the area.
Ruiz Foods will manufacture and distribute its frozen Mexican cuisines from its new East Coast hub located in Florence.
Gov. Nikki Haley attended the ceremony and says she looks forward to what the company will mean to the workforce.
