GREER, S.C. (AP) - Two people have died in a wreck near Greer and a third person has been hospitalized.

The wreck happened shortly after 6 a.m. Wednesday near Riverside Middle School.

Greenville County Coroner Parks Evans said 16-year-old Andrew Chase Jackson of Greer was driving the car. Evans says Jackson died from trauma to the chest after being taken to Greenville Memorial Hospital.

The name of the other victims have not been released.

The survivor was taken to the Joseph M. Still Burn Center in Augusta, Georgia.

Evans says Jackson lost control of the car and hit a tree. Jackson and a passenger were pulled from the car as it burned.
