Florence officials catch attempted murder suspect

FLORENCE, SC (WMBF) - A man has been arrested after officials say he shot at a man sitting in a car on Brunson Street.

Antoinne Hines, also known as Antonio, was captured by the Florence PD on Friday, July 18, Major Raines confirmed. Hines was wanted for attempted murder and felon possession of a deadly weapon during a violent crime, according to the Florence Police Department.

Officials found Hines at a hotel.

He has been charged with the two crimes and felon in possession of a weapon.

On July 5, Hines got into a verbal altercation with a man who was sitting in a vehicle on Brunson Street and fired several shots into the car, investigators say.

Hines was injured from the incident.
