CONWAY, SC (WMBF) - A Conway restaurant will be featured on the Cooking Channel in a new television show, Holy & Hungry, hosted by MC Hammer.

The episode, featuring the Freshwater Fish Company, will premiere Sunday, July 20 at 10:30 p.m., according to a news release issued by the owner, Stephen Brown.

The show, Holy & Hungry, is about ordained ministers and pastors who also own and operate restaurants, according to the news release.

The restaurant, which also serves as a fresh fish market, is located off Highway 701 North and is family-owned and operated.

According to the news release:

In February, Brown received a call from the producers of Holy & Hungry who interviewed him and decided he and his restaurant were perfect for the new show. On March 16, the production team arrived, along with MC Hammer. Hammer attended church while Brown gave a sermon, then visited Freshwater Fish Company and interacted with diners before visiting the kitchen to check out how Brown prepares catfish stew, macaroni and cheese and several other dishes.

In early July, Brown received the news that Hungry & Holy will air on the Cooking Channel seven times this month:

  • July 20 (Premiere) - 10:30 p.m. and 2:30 a.m.
  • July 23 – 8 p.m. and midnight
  • July 26 – 7 p.m.
  • July 27 – 3:30 a.m. and 11:30 p.m.
