NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - North Myrtle Beach Police and North Myrtle Beach Fire were called to the scene of a wreck Friday night on Main Street around 11 p.m.

A female motorist flipped upside down after hitting a parked, unoccupied car, according to Patrick Dowling.

The driver was trapped in the car and had to be extricated from her vehicle.

Dowling said that once emergency crews freed the driver, she was taken to Grand Strand Medical Center in serious but stable condition.

Officials are awaiting the results of a blood test that will determine if she was driving under the influence.
