NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - A woman has been charged after striking a North Myrtle Beach police officer with an SUV and crashing a car into another officer early Saturday morning, according to Patrick Dowling.

Shanah Seneca has been charged with DUI, according to a police report.

Two NMB police officers, Officer Hall and Officer St. Clair, were responding to a minor wreck at the intersection of Highway 17 and Main Street.

Seneca drove a 2004 Honda Pilot vehicle through a red-light, at the intersection of the crash. She struck another vehicle, sending that vehicle into a police cruiser. The vehicle also struck Officer St. Clair in the leg.

The Honda Pilot continued east and struck Officer Hall, causing him to fly around 15 feet onto the sidewalk, according to Dowling.

The Honda Pilot continued to move and rolled on top of Officer Hall's legs.

Seneca exited the vehicle and attempted to hide in bushes about 30 feet from the accident scene, according to the police report.

Both officers were transported to a local hospital for medical treatment and were released.
