MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – A contract employee working at the Seaboard Street Walmart allegedly over $2,800 dollars from a money bag left next to register last month, according to a Myrtle Beach Police report.

Myrtle Beach police are looking for 19-year-old Sherman Jermaine Johnson, wanted for grand larceny, according to a news release from the department. J

According to the MBPD report, Johnson, while working as a contract employee from the Way To Go Company, was caught on camera taking money from a money bag left next to a register at about 5 a.m. on June 9. When the office staff picked up the bag and counted the money, it was determined that $2,865.13 was missing.

A Walmart employee reviewed video surveillance footage and saw Johnson take some of the cash out of the bag. The employee told police that Johnson was a contract employee and did not have any business handling money or the bags.

Johnson is described by police as a 5-foot-11-inch tall, 154-pound black male with brown eyes and black hair. His last known address is 222 Church St. in Mullins.

Anyone who knows Johnson's whereabouts is asked to contact MBPD and reference case 14-014915.
