Several events canceled, offices closed due to Hurricane Arthur

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – Here is a list of closed offices and canceled events due to Hurricane Arthur:

- Music on the Green at the Market Common has been canceled Due to the weather forecast tonight from Hurricane Arthur. The storm should not affect tomorrow's 4th of July family fun at 4 p.m.

- From @CityofNMB: Due to the weather, the North Myrtle Beach Park & Sports Complex will close at 5:00 p.m. today (July 3).


-The NMB Department of Public Safety reports that Ocean Boulevard from 16th Avenue South to 17th Avenue South is closed due to heavy rain/flooding.

-Live After 5 in Conway will be on July 10, instead of July 3, 2014 – More info: http://www.wmbfnews.com/story/25903407/2014-alive-after-5-continues-in-july

-From @BrunswickGovt: Due to Hurricane Arthur, Brunswick County offices will be closing at 2 p.m. today. Get home safely and have a happy 4th of July tomorrow!

-Boys and Girls Club of Grand Strand is closed Friday due to inclement weather

    A threat was discovered written on a bathroom wall at Conway High School, according to a post on the school’s Facebook page. The threat was “a derogatory statement about a teacher,” and was investigated by school officials and law enforcement.

    TIMMONSVILLE, SC (WMBF) – A death investigation is underway in Florence County after a woman’s body was found on the side of the road, according to Chief Deputy Glenn Kirby with the Florence County Sheriff’s Office. The woman’s body was found on U.S. 76 between Chaney Grove Road and Tolson Road in Timmonsville. The coroner is currently on scene and investigating along with the Florence County Sheriff’s Office.
