MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Lifeguards and other emergency responders are in monitoring mode, due to Tropical Storm Arthur.
First responders are checking the models and conditions in surrounding areas to see the potential impacts Arthur may bring.
Additional lifeguards will be guarding the beaches and the waters. If conditions become unsafe, guards will monitor the waters with beach vehicles. If the currents get too dangerous, guards will monitor from both sides of the swimmers: in the water and on the beach.
