MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Ocean Boulevard has been outfitted with public restrooms. The doors opened on Wednesday.
The set of stalls is the first permanent public restroom for the city of Myrtle Beach.
The budget for the project was around $220,000.
The restrooms are a necessity because so many people walk the boardwalk in the summer.
The construction allows the alley to stay open to emergency vehicles, according to the Downtown Redevelopment Corporation.
