Pee Dee Deer Classic being held this weekend

South Carolina is welcoming its largest hunting expo back to Florence for the 21st year. South Carolina is welcoming its largest hunting expo back to Florence for the 21st year.

FLORENCE, SC (WMBF) - South Carolina is welcoming its largest hunting expo back to Florence for the twenty-first year. The annual Pee Dee Deer Classic will be held at the Florence Civic Center from Friday, July 25 until Sunday, July 27.

The event covers over 65,000 square feet of space. Hunting gear, outdoor equipment, sporting vehicles, displays, activities and thousands of consumers will be available, along with special guests.

There will be a 3-D bow tournament, paintball challenge for kids and much more.

Coordinators of this event have arranged for Michael Waddell, host of The Outdoor Channel's, "Bone Collector" and creator of "Realtree Road Trips" to attend the expo. He will be available for a meet and greet at select times.

Hunt Expert, Joe Kelly will also be there. Thousands are expected to attend.

The hours for the exhibit are:

Friday 1:00pm-9:00pm

Saturday 9:00am-7:00pm

Sunday 10:00am-6:00pm

Admission for adults is $10. Children 7-12 years of age are admitted for $3 and children 6 years old and under are admitted free of charge. Tickets will be available at the door on the day of the event.

The suspect robbed the gas station at 5053 Southport-Supply Road in Southport around 8:30 Saturday night. CCU students Tyler Bealmear and Kaycelyn Laymon have a love and passion for children and education, their hearts broken by the tragedy, but each refusing to let situations like these continue.
