LORIS, SC (WMBF) – Three men have been arrested for the death of a Loris man.

Manton Connell Alford, Quinteel Pierre Harley and Dashon Cortez Grate have been arrested and charged with murder in connection with the deadly shooting that occurred in Loris on Wednesday night, according to Horry County Police officials.

All three men are from Loris and are in their 20s.

One person was killed and another was sent to the hospital in a shooting on Main Street in Loris Wednesday night, Horry County Police said.

Loris Police Department responded to a one-car wreck on Main Street and saw the driver and passenger suffering from apparent gunshot wounds, Lt. Robert Kegler stated in a news release.

David Blanton, 24, from Loris, was identified as the deceased victim by Horry County Coroner Robert Edge. Blanton died from a gunshot wound at about 9:45 p.m. Wednesday and was pronounced dead at the scene, Kegler said.

Blanton's close friends described the young father as always laughing and fun. He leaves behind two young daughters and a son.

Police say a second victim was in the truck with Blanton during the incident. Lt. Kegler said he is currently in stable condition at a local hospital.

The HCPD Major Crimes Unit is investigating the homicide.
