AYNOR, SC (WMBF) – Horry County Fire Rescue and Aynor Fire responded to a fire at a consignment warehouse in Aynor Saturday morning.

The fire started at about 6:15 a.m. at the CBS Outlet Furniture Company on Highway 501 in Aynor. HCFR crews responded to the large square footage warehouse, according to tweets from HCFR's Brian VanAernem. Heavy heat and smoke was coming from the furniture area of the warehouse, and the fire extended up to the ceiling area.

No one was inside the building at the time of the fire, and no injuries were reported.

Aynor Fire updated the call to a second alarm, VanAernem stated.

As of 7:20 a.m., VanAernem tweeted that the bulk of the fire had been knocked down, and crews were moving to overhaul. The fire was placed under control by command at about 7:50 a.m.

The cause of the blaze remains under investigation, according to HCFR.
