MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - April 25 marks the anniversary of Brittanee Drexel's disappearance. Her family is planning a vigil Friday night for the missing teen.
Dawn Drexel tells WMBF News the vigil will begin at 7:30 p.m. at the Market Common. A tree has been planted in honor of Brittanee Drexel, which is where the vigil will take place. A yellow ribbon has been placed on the tree by local law enforcement and flowers have been planted around the stone with Brittanee's name.
Dawn Drexel is still in contact with authorities and says they are actively pursuing leads.
Brittanee Drexel was reported missing five years ago. She was last seen on Ocean Boulevard in Myrtle Beach.
