FLORENCE, SC (WMBF) - The South Carolina Department of Transportation is asking the public for comment on the bridges slated to be replaced under the Federal Aid Bridge Replacement Program.
The program looks to repair 26 bridges and two culverts across the state - including two in the Pee Dee.
The first bridge is located in Florence county on Highway 76 over Lynches River. The estimated cost to replace this bridge is more than $14.5 million.
The second bridge is located in Darlington county on Highway 52 over Swift Creek. To replace the bridge, SCDOT estimates it will cost more than $3.5 million.
