MYRTLE BEACH (WMBF) - A job fair is being held Thursday, specifically for South Carolina veterans.
On Thursday, April 24, a job fair will be held at the National Armory in Myrtle Beach, located at 501 19th Ave South. The fair is from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
More than 20 employers are expected to attend and offer stable, year-round job opportunities.
SC Works, an employment program, is hosting the job fair after a series of workshops geared towards helping veterans rejoin the workforce.
The 'Pre-Fair Workshop Series' was held Monday, April 21, at the SC Works Center located on 200-A Victory Lane in Conway.
Workshops and personalized resume assistance were offered. Attendees received several copies of their resumes, in addition to a wristband which will grant them 1-hour early admittance into the job fair scheduled for Thursday.
