Emmy-Winner features SC native in screening at Myrtle Beach International Film Festival

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - A South Carolina native is featured in a documentary scheduled to debut this month at the Myrtle Beach International Film Festival.

Katie Stagliano, 15, will attend the festival at the Carmike Cinema Broadway at the Beach on Saturday, April 26 at 5:00 p.m.

Emmy-Award winning filmmaker, Jesse Roesler, is scheduled to debut the film, The Starfish Throwers. As stated in a press release, "The movie explores how three individuals fight hunger and struggle to restore hope to the hopeless in unexpected and sometimes dangerous ways."
