FLORENCE, SC (WMBF) – The body of a missing Florence doctor has been recovered, according to authorities.
At approximately 4:11 PM Tuesday afternoon, Florence County Sheriff's Deputies and City of Florence Police Officers discovered a vehicle matching the description of a vehicle owned by Dr. Samuel Kirk Ham near Pisgah Road in Florence County.
A short distance from the vehicle, the officers discovered a body which has been identified by Florence County Coroner Keith Von Lutcken as that of Dr. Ham.
The matter remains under investigation, but at this time investigators do not suspect foul play.
Dr. Kirk Ham was last seen Monday at 10 a.m. when he left his home on Keswick Road, heading to the office of his optometry practice on 312 S. McQueen Street. Police said there was nothing to suggest he arrived at his office.
