HARTSVILLE, SC (WMBF) - The City of Hartsville and Keep Darlington County Beautiful are again inviting volunteers to spend a morning improving Hartsville's neighborhoods by collecting trash and debris.
The Great American Cleanup, taking place in Hartsville for the 11th year Saturday, April 26, will begin at Pride Park, on Sixth Street, where volunteers may register at 8 a.m.
Beginning at 8:30 a.m., volunteers will head into neighborhoods of their choice to collect litter and other trash from street right-of-ways.
Volunteers will receive needed equipment such as safety vests, gloves, bags and some grabbers from the City of Hartsville, and may carry discarded tires to a receptacle located at the Environmental Services shop on Poole Street.
The Hartsville Fire Department will provide a free lunch for volunteers in Pride Park at noon.
