GREENEVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Four teenagers who were extradited to Greene County, Tenn., after leading South Carolina police on a day-long chase last week have been ordered detained.
A 16-year-old boy is charged with murder in the death of his 36-year-old father. His three companions - a 16-year-old girl and two 15-year-old boys - are charged with accessory after the fact to murder. All four also are charged with theft.
A Greene County Juvenile Court judge on Friday ordered that the four remain in custody for the time being. Greene County Sheriff Steve Burns said they are being held at a youth facility in Johnson City.
The Associated Press is not identifying the suspects because they are juveniles. The AP also is not identifying the victim in order to protect the juveniles' identities.
