FMU athletics set to honor several wounded warriors

FLORENCE, SC (WMBF) – Former servicemen and women will be honored at a college in the Pee Dee area.

Francis Marion University Athletics along with the Wounded Warrior Project will honor several wounded warriors Saturday, April 12.

The serviceman and women will be recognized in pre-game ceremonies at both stadiums, and will be throwing out ceremonial first pitches before the contests.

The baseball and softball games are both scheduled to start at 2 p.m. at the Griffin Athletic Complex.

Admission will be $8 for adults and $5 for students.

FMU faculty, staff, and students will be admitted free with identification and appropriate Swamp Fox Club passes will be honored. Both softball and baseball games are included in the admission price.
