MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Horry County Emergency Management, the city of Myrtle Beach and the National Weather Service team together again for this year's event.
The three agencies will host Stormfest 2014 on Saturday, April 12, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Ticketreturn.com Field, home of the Myrtle Beach Pelicans.
Attendees will have a chance to meet local lineworkers, first responders, TV meteorologists, among other weather and disaster related organizations.
Kid activities will include thumbprint bookmarks, beanbag toss, bounce houses and more.
The event is free to the public and held to educate and raise awareness and preparedness on severe weather with a focus on kids.
