HARTSVILLE, SC (WMBF) – A 74-year-old Hartsville man was arrested Monday after his wife told deputies he entered her home and assaulted her overnight, despite having an order of protection against him.
After a neighbor called on the wife's behalf Monday, Darlington County deputies responded and found the wife with several injuries to the right side of her face. The wife told deputies that her husband, identified as 74-year-old Henry Dudley Tyner, come to the residence at about 12 p.m. Sunday, saying he wanted to talk.
The two soon began to argue, and after leaving and coming back, Tyner assaulted his wife throughout the night, and had sexual relations with her against her will, according to the sheriff's office report. She said she was not allowed to leave the house, and he threatened to kill her.
Deputies convinced the victim to get checked out at a nearby hospital, and investigators collected evidence from the scene.
Tyner was arrested Monday and booked on charges of criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature, criminal sexual conduct, kidnapping, burglary, and violation of court order of protection. He is in custody in the Darlington County Detention Center.
