DARLINGTON, SC (WMBF) – Events to kick off race week at Darlington Raceway are heating up.
A Taste of Darlington will be held Tuesday, April 8, from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. in the track's NASCAR Sprint Cup Series garage.
The annual culinary event benefits features some of the best cooks in the Darlington area.
More than 500 local community members who enjoy good food and beverage are expected to attend.
Walk-up tickets are available the day of the event for $30 each. The event is only open for guests 21 years of age or older.
"This event offers some of Darlington County's best cooks for a celebration of delicious food choices and desserts, said Darlington Revitalization Association Manager David Vaughan. "We're excited that 'A Taste of Darlington' will kick off the week's festivities for the Bojangles' Southern 500 race weekend on April 12."
For 30 years, A Taste of Darlington has been a marquee event on the social calendar in the community. This year's event will feature 18 grillers preparing main courses and over 12 stations featuring hors d'oeuvres and desserts.
