MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – A woman told police that a man hit her several times and robbed her while she was walking around Broadway at the Beach early Sunday morning.

According to a Myrtle Beach Police report, the 19-year-old victim told officers she was looking for a friend and walking near Carlos'n Charlie's at about 1 a.m. when she passed a group of five or six men, and one of them tried to stop her, but she kept walking.

About one minute later, she felt someone hit her in the back of the head, and she was hit about five more times before she fell to the ground, according to the police report. She told police she recognized the suspect as the man who tried to stop her earlier.
