GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The American Red Cross of the Western Carolinas said they are looking for volunteers to serve on Disaster Action Teams after an already busy week.

Red Cross officials said over two dozen volunteers and staff members responded to three major fires in the Upstate on Wednesday alone.

One team mobilized in Greer after a wildfire in a subdivision destroyed a triplex, a house, and damaged several others, to provide lodging resources, clothing, food, and water to the victims, according to officials.

In Pickens, Red Cross Disaster Responders provided meals, snacks and beverages to about 50 firefighters who were battling a wildfire that threatened several homes.

In Marietta, officials said responders provided snacks and beverages for 50 to 75 firefighters on the scene of a wildfire in that area.

Officials said over 95 percent of Red Cross responders are volunteers.
