CONWAY, SC (WMBF) – About 100 local recruiters will be at a job fair at Miller-Motte Technical College in Conway on April 10 from 9 a.m. until noon.
The recruiters will be from the healthcare, hospitality, customer service, and other industries, and will be on-site to talk to candidates about the jobs being offered, according to a news release from the college. The event is free and open to the public.
"Unemployment is a serious issue in Myrtle Beach," says Director of Career Services, Elizabeth Howland. "The goal of this fair is very simple: We want to connect job seekers with open opportunities."
Anyone looking for career training will also have the chance to look at the programs being offered at Miller-Motte. Admissions representatives will be on-hand to answer questions.
"Job fairs, like this, are a great way for employers and job seekers to connect and discuss opportunities in our community," said U.S. Congressman Tom Rice.
The career fell will be held April 10 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Conway campus, located at 2451 Highway 501 E.
There is no charge for attendees or employers wishing to host a table at the career fair, but employers are required to pre-register – contact Elizabeth Howland at Elizabeth.firstname.lastname@example.org for a registration form.
