4-year-old child struck by oncoming vehicle in Marion

MARION, SC (WMBF) - A 4-year-old boy was airlifted to a Florence hospital after being struck by a vehicle on Rosewood Drive, Marion Police Chief Jim Gray confirmed.

The accident happened Wednesday afternoon, after 5 p.m.

Gray said the boy was riding a scooter out of his family's driveway and drove it into the roadway when he was struck by an oncoming vehicle.

No charges have been filed against the driver at this time.
