RICHLAND COUNTY, SC (WIS) -

A Richland County woman has been arrested after deputies say she stole food from a school cafeteria after being allowed inside for a drink of water.

Deputies arrested 30-year-old Felicia Latrice Amos Monday on charges of burglary and larceny.

Investigators say Amos entered Longleaf Middle School on Longreen Parkway on Friday, March 21, asking for a drink of water. Sheriff Leon Lott says Amos did not leave the school and "likely stayed at the school the entire weekend," eating and stealing food from the cafeteria.

Lott says Amos was involved in a similar incident earlier this year at the University of South Carolina, Sumter, and put out a warning to schools not to allow her into any facility regardless of the excuse she gives.

Amos was taken to Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
