MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - If you've walked the Market Common recently you may have seen some changes: Two stores are moving out and one is moving in.
Charming Charlie is taking over a three-storefront space, they just signed the lease Thursday. While some stores sign leases, others come to an end, like Dixie Divas. The store is moving to the Tanger Outlets on Highway 501.
Another change you'll see is at Devo Olive Oil. The store is changing its name to Dove Olive Oil and moving to Reed St. Market Common Marketing says that store is moving to make way for Charming Charlie. Representatives for the store say it's scheduled to open June 24.
When WMBF News asked the Market Common how many places it has seen go, the center's spokesperson wouldn't provide a number, but the area is no stranger to movement, as we saw the doors of Co Sushi open earlier this week, and Tommy Bahama Restaurant close last year.
More places surrounding the Market Common are also hungry for business, like those along Howard Avenue. Tee Time Cafe, on the outskirts of Market Common, re-opened just 10 days ago, now known as The Roasted Bean. The owner says the location is worth the investment. It's not the only spot banking on business; its store neighbor, the Xscream Art N Bean ice cream shop also opened on March 15.
