Dillon Police looking for shooting suspect

DILLON, SC (WMBF) – The City of Dillon Police Department is asking the public's help in locating an attempted murder suspect after a male was shot Friday night  while walking down East Hampton Street.

The suspect was identified by police as 26-year-old Brandon Alexander Hargrove, a 6-foot-1-inch tall, 185-pound black male.

According to the police report, police were called to the 100 block of East Hampton Street in reference to a male being shot. Police saw blood on the front of the ticket house located there, but the victim was driven to a nearby hospital.

Police talked to the victim at the hospital who said he was walking when he heard several gunshots. He began to run when a bullet hit him in the left hip. He fell down in front of the ticket house, and a friend took him to the hospital.
