Changes coming to Myrtle Beach Mall

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - The Myrtle Beach Mall has been around for almost 30 years and has seen many changes over that time.

The mall currently holds around 60 stores and kiosks, but several have closed their doors. The mall says there's not one reason for vacant stores but they do find they're competing with the Tanger Outlets which is less than a mile away.

The mall will have three new stores opening and three current retailers expanding which they see as an economic turn for our area. All are owned or at least operated by locals.

Krispy Krunchy Chicken is a franchise set to open in the former Chick-fil-A space, by the same owners of Casablanca Cafe, located in the Myrtle Beach Mall food court. Caffeine Coffee Bakery and Wolf Creek Gallery are two more new spots at the mall.

Countertops and More Home Design Center is expanding their current location within the mall in order to offer furniture and home decor. Fantasia Airbrush, is relocating in the mall from a kiosk to an inline store. Player's Choice is moving to a larger store, as well, and will offer arcade games.

New stores means new jobs and some places are hiring right now, but majority of the stores in the mall, will be ramping up seasonal hiring. You can look for jobs on the mall website here:
