Police find meth lab on High Line Drive in Hartsville

HARTSVILLE, SC (WMBF) - Darlington County Narcotics investigators have uncovered a shake and bake meth lab in a home on High Line Drive in Hartsville.

Authorities on scene determined it was a common "shake and Bake" or portable lab. According to the NIXLE alert from the Darlington County Sheriff's Office, the home has been secured as they wait for a hazmat cleanup crew.

Joe Eddins, 44, and 48-year-old Cheryl Melton have been charged with manufacturing crystal methamphetamine and possession of crystal methamphetamine. Both will be transported to the Darlington County Detention Center to await bond.
