LUMBERTON, NC (WMBF) - Four men are charged in connection to two home invasions, according to the Robeson County Sheriff's Office.
In a release issued by the police department, Joseph Wayne Hunt, Rashad Cruz, Jaquan Jamar Sinclair and Kenny Carver, all from the Lumberton area are charged and in custody of Robeson County Police.
The first crime was reported at 12:40 a.m. in Lumberton. Police say suspects forced their way into the home and stole several items including a shotgun, laptop and iPad. The resident was shot in the leg by one of the suspects, according to police.
Within an hour, at 1:38 a.m., the second crime was reported, according to authorities. Suspects entered a home in Lumberton but soon fled. No injuries were reported.
A North Carolina highway patrol trooper located a vehicle within the city limits of Lumberton that fit the description of the vehicle and suspects involved in the home invasions.
According to police, the stolen items from the first home invasion were found in that vehicle. The suspects were arrested and charged. All remain in Robeson County jail.
