Report: Woman chases down suspected purse snatcher

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Myrtle Beach Police are looking for the man who took a woman's purse from her shopping cart at the Walmart on Seaboard Street.

The theft was reported around 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 16. the woman claims she was loading her groceries into her car when a BLACK MALE IN HIS EARLY TWENTIES snatched the purse.

According to the police report, he was wearing a black zip-up hooded sweatshirt, white t shirt, jeans, and sneakers with a short haircut.

The man ran toward a blue Dodge Neon, with the woman right behind him. She grabbed for his sweatshirt but lost her grip on the man as he got in the car.

The stolen purse contained a driver's license, a social security card, a birth certificate, EBT card, and a debit card.
