DARLINGTON, SC (WMBF) - It may be hard to believe, but the Bojangles' Southern 500 rolls on in less than a month. This year's date change means the green flag goes up at the Track Too Tough to Tame on the night of April 12th.
On Thursday Jeff Gordon made an appearance in the Pee Dee, helping sell tickets for the race he will be driving in next month. Gordon helped autograph and sell tickets to those looking to attend in April, but also took some fans out in the pace car for a few laps around the track known as the Lady in Black.
He has finished in the top three in every race this Sprint Cup season, and there are only four more between now and Darlington. He last won in the Pee Dee in 2007, so he's looking forward to getting the chance to try and pick up another victory in a few weeks.

NASCAR hits the Pee Dee the second weekend of April, with the VFW/SportClips Help a Hero 200 (the Nationwide portion of the event) on April 11th. Then the Bojangles' Southern 500 on the night of April 12th.
