Report: Officers catch burglar with throwing stars in hand

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Police in Myrtle Beach responded to a home alarm Wednesday night, but found someone trying to break in to a home next door with a silver throwing star.

Officers were called to the 3200 block of North Ocean Boulevard on March 12, and found the home emitting the alarm was secure. Then they heard a noise coming from a nearby home.

They found "A black male wearing a black mask concealing the top of his face with a black jacket, black gloves and a brown leather back pack. The offender was holding a silver machete type sword in one hand and a large silver throwing star in the other," the police report states.

Police saw the man beating on a window screen with both tools, and after taking him into custody, found two pendant bracelets and a sharp metal knife in his backpack.

According to booking records for the Myrtle Beach Jail, 20-year-old Quinte Breon Tucker is charged with first degree burglary.

Tucker booked into J, Reuben Long Detention Center in February and released on March 11.
