Florence Civic Center to host Lone Star Rodeo

FLORENCE, SC (WMBF) - The Lone Star Rodeo Company is bring a championship rodeo challenge to the Florence Civic Center on March 28 and 29.

The family-friendly event offers attractions for all ages, along with intense competitions including several bareback riding and steer wrestling events. Some South Carolina natives and Pee Dee locals may get the chance to compete alongside Lone Star National Champions during the event.

"The rodeo has grown to be the sixth most watched sport in America," states Rachel Boyd of the Lone Star Rodeo Company. "And we're excited to bring Florence the opportunity to see this action live in person and up close" Boyd continues.

The rodeo is scheduled at the Florence Civic Center on Friday, March 28 and Saturday, March 29 beginning at 8 p.m. each night.

Tickets for children 12 and under start at $10. Adult admission is $15 for general seating and $25 for reserved seats. The VIP ticket option for $40 includes seating in the first two rows, a 2014 Lone Star Rodeo 16-oz cup, rodeo bandanna, rodeo score card to tally the action, VIP tour of the arena and bucking chutes, bulls, bucking horses, plus the chance to meet and get autographs with the cowboys, cowgirls and rodeo clowns.
