Teach at the Beach recruits applicants from across the nation

CONWAY, SC (WMBF) - The Horry County School District says people from all over the country are registering for their upcoming job fair. The deadline to register for 'Teach at the Beach' is March 15.

The Teach at the Beach Job Fair will be held at Conway High School from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday March, 29.

The fair is open to everyone but it's recommended that you register. That way your qualifications will get looked at prior to the day of the event and you'll have a name tag with your area of interest, making the fair easier to navigate.

So far, 305 people have registered. Around half of those will be interviewing to fill teacher positions in math, special education, orchestra, science, speech, secondary English, guidance and library media. The district says those positions have been harder to fill. In all there are around 100 vacancies in everything from food services to administration.

If you plan on attending, bring your a game. "The market is competitive and we are looking for people of the highest quality so it's important people show their best when they come," says Mary Anderson, one of the directors of H.R.

If you're interested in attending this job fair, we've provided a link to the registration here.
