St. Patrick's Day events in the Grand Strand


Ocean Boulevard's 2014 St. Patrick's Day Celebration on Saturday, March 15 from 12 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Ocean Boulevard's 2014 St. Patrick's Day Celebration features music, fun and authentic Irish food and beverage! Activities include live performances, kids' zone, games and more, from noon until 11:00 p.m. Ocean Boulevard will be closed to vehicles from Mr. Joe White Avenue to Ninth Avenue North.     Sunday, March 16 8:30 a.m. Kick start your St. Patrick's Day festivities with a fun run around Broadway at the Beach! Register at Tilted Kilt or online, and enjoy a great after party at Tilted Kilt! Race registration includes a St. Patty's Day 5k T-Shirt, drink ticket for those of the proper age, an Irish Themed breakfast buffet following the race, live music, bagpipers and leprauchans kicking us off!     The 26th Annual North Myrtle Beach St. Patrick's Day Parade and Festival will be held March 15 on Main Street.

    Spectators gathering to watch the parade should be in place by 8:20 a.m. Main Street will close to vehicular traffic at 8:30 a.m. The parade, offering 100-plus units, will begin at 8:50 a.m. sharp.

    The festival portion of the event runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and offers 125-plus food, arts and crafts, nonprofit, and other vendors.

    The festival also offers live entertainment on three stages:

    Community Stage (Oak Drive) - 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.

  • 11 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.: MB Regional Pipes and Drums
  • 11:15 a.m. to 11:35 a.m.: Triple Toe Cloggers
  • 11:45 a.m. to 12:05 p.m.: Arts Alive
  • 12:15 p.m. to 12:30 p.m.: MB Regional Pipe and Drums
  • 12:30 p.m. to 12:45 p.m.: Parade Awards
  • 12:45 p.m. to 1 p.m.: NY Shields Pipe and Drums
  • 1 p.m. to 1:20 p.m.: NMB Performing Arts
  • 1:30 p.m. to 1:50 p.m.: Academy of Dance and Fine Arts
  • 2 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.: Shepherd's Pie Eating Contest
  • 2:30 p.m. to 2:50 p.m.: Whacker Barrel

    St. Patrick's Day Dance, Saturday, March 15 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Dick M. Johnson Civic Center
