MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – There will be a fundraising dinner Tuesday night at Ron Jon's to raise money for the Honor Flight Myrtle Beach, an organization that flies World War II veterans to the WWII Memorial in Washington D.C.
Ron Jon's will provide a baked ziti dinner for dine in or take out for $7 for adults and $5 for kids under 12, according to a flier for the fundraiser. There will also be a silent auction, 50/50 drawing, and cash donations will be accepted. The fundraiser will be held from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. at 3218 Waccamaw Boulevard.
The next Honor Flight is scheduled for Wednesday, April 16, 2014, and the organization is currently accepting applications for both Veterans and Guardians. Guardians may be friends or relatives of the WWII veteran, or a willing volunteer that provides assistance and support, as well as sharing memorials.
