GEORGETOWN, SC (WMBF) - Agencies in Georgetown County executed five search warrants in a 36 hour period that resulted in nine arrests for various drug charges.
Those search warrants were executed by the 15th Circuit Drug Enforcement Unit, Georgetown County Sheriff's deputies, the Georgetown City Police Department and the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division on March 5 in Andrews and Pawleys Island.
Nine people were taken into custody on various charges including: distribution of crack, manufacturing marijuana, distribution of marijuana, distribution of marijuana within half mile of school, possession of crack, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and a family court bench warrant.
During the searches, agents dismantled a marijuana growing operation, seized more than 700 grams of marijuana, a small amount of crack, a 9mm handgun, a rifle, and one vehicle.
The following people were arrested:
Ryan Britton, 31, of Pawleys Island
Richard Neal Cox, 65, of Andrews
Malcolm John Cromedy, 37, of Georgetown
Jon Michael Duvall, 18, of Andrews
Albert Glen Lambert, 19, of Andrews
Marvin Martinez, 18, of Andrews
Ronald Lamount Mickel, 42, of Georgetown
Casey James Smith, 23, of Myrtle Beach
Hampton Alston Tiller, 18, of Pawleys Island
All nine were transported to the Georgetown County Detention Center. Three people are still wanted, the Georgetown County Sheriff's Office reports.
