Deputies: Georgetown teen was not abducted; Man sought in incident

GEORGETOWN COUNTY, SC (WCSC) -

Officials with the Georgetown County Sheriff's Office say a teenager that was missing on Thursday was not abducted.

Authorities say at 5 p.m. on Thursday responded to a home on Fuzzy Drive in the Oatland community of Georgetown County and located the missing 16-year-old.

Investigators say they determined that the teen was not abducted as initially reported.

GCSO deputies are now attempting to located 19-year-old Anthony Marquise Williams of Georgetown. Williams is charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Deputies describe him as 5'6" tall and weighing 150 pounds.

Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff's office at (843) 546-5101.

On Thursday, officials with the sheriff's office said the teen have been abducted from a bus stop near her home.  Authorities had said the teenager was last seen around 6:30 a.m. at her bus stop on Sutton Road in the Browns Ferry Community.

Witnesses told investigators that the missing girl was spotted in what appeared to be an altercation with a man identified as 19-year-old Anthony Marquise Williams of Georgetown, who was also being sought in connection to the incident.
