GEORGETOWN, S.C. (WMBF) –Georgetown Hospital System will host its first Charity Golf Tournament March 31 and help support the community's medically underserved and uninsured.
The event begins at 9 a.m. at The Reserve Golf Club. The entry fee is $175 per player, and covers greens fee, cart, lunch, an awards ceremony and a buffet dinner after the tournament. Contests will be held for putting, closest to the pin, the longest drive, longest putt and a hole-in-one. Visit www.georgetownhospitalsystem.org/charitygolftournament to register online.
"We've planned a full day of golf activities for our newest fund raising event," Jessica Sasser, GHS foundation executive director, said. "The tournament is a wonderful way to enjoy a round of golf on a spring day and help support transportation, screenings and education programs for those in our community with limited or no access to quality healthcare."
